(PRIMASPORT) Before the match against Venezia, Inter coach Cristian Chivu explained his starting lineup, explaining why they chose to field Stankovic and Thuram.
“Stankovic is an Inter player and therefore he plays. We chose him for his growth since he turned professional. He won in Belgium and was a key figure in the Champions League. We trust his qualities and are happy to have him with us,” said Chivu.
Regarding Thuram, the coach added: “We need to let those who are fit play without underestimating the matches. Right now we're focused on Venezia, and then we'll think about the derby and the other matches.”.
Chivu also provided updates on Pio Esposito's condition: "He's not well, he wasn't well on Sunday either. He had a fever and a death in the family, we offer our condolences; he still had a fever on Monday." (PRIMASPORT)
