Udinese's Gueye undergoes ankle surgery, expected to be sidelined for three months.

(PRIMASPORT) PISA Udinese announced that striker Idrissa Gueye has undergone surgery on his right ankle following an injury sustained during a friendly match in Poland during the international break. The operation, performed by Professor Van Dijk at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa, was a success. The player will have a recovery period of approximately three months.

This absence adds to that of Nicolò Zaniolo, who suffered an injury during his Italian national team training camp, which will keep him out of action for about a month. Furthermore, Davis is still not fully recovered from a muscle problem he sustained in the first half of the match against Cagliari.

This leaves coach Runjaic with a reduced attack, relying only on Bayo and Jovanovic for the next few matches. (PRIMASPORT)
