(PRIMASPORT) TURIN – FITP President Angelo Binaghi assured that ticket sales for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin are steadily growing, with a high likelihood of a sellout even without world number one Jannik Sinner. Binaghi's remarks were made during the Golden Collars award ceremony in Rome, emphasizing that a major sporting competition can guarantee success regardless of the presence of local stars.
Binaghi then added that the success of Italian tennis stems from a well-organized system in which each member carries out their role with professionalism, ensuring the best possible development of the athletes. Regarding young Italian tennis players, he highlighted the performances of Luca Nardi, who had an excellent start to the season, reaching the Roland Garros final against Alexander Zverev and the Wimbledon quarterfinals, and recently won in Acapulco. He also mentioned the presence of other Italian players such as Bolelli and Vavassori, emphasizing the importance of playing the season finale in Turin in front of a home crowd of 15,000.
The ATP Finals will be broadcast free-to-air on Mediaset thanks to the acquisition of free-to-air rights for the next multi-year cycle starting in 2026, thus expanding the offering of major sporting events on Italian television. (PRIMASPORT)
