AC Milan confirms its faith in Amorim but needs to reverse course

(PRIMASPORT) MILAN AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has reaffirmed his full confidence in coach Ruben Amorim despite the Europa League defeat to Benfica. The match, played at San Siro in front of 65,000 spectators, sparked disappointment among fans and management, but Cardinale characterized this phase as a time for reflection rather than a crisis.

Amorim, selected in the summer for his aggressive and dominant vision of football, has a multi-year contract running until 2029 with an option for 2030 and represents the cornerstone of the club's long-term project. After the European defeat, the coach had a calm meeting with the club and spent the night at Milanello to reflect and strengthen the team atmosphere, aimed at protecting the players from external criticism.

To get back on track, Milan will need to improve tactically, working on defensive stability and balance without sacrificing their signature style of play. Ahead of the league match against Lecce, Amorim is considering starting more experienced players like Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic to enhance their personality and quality of play.
