(PRIMASPORT) TOKYO – Carlos Alcaraz defeated Matteo Arnaldi in the round of 16 of the ATP 500 in Tokyo, played on October 3, 2026. After a very close first set, the Spanish world number 3 saved four consecutive set points in the tiebreak, managing to win 8-6 after being down 2-6.

In the second set, Arnaldi, world number 37, suffered a decline and suffered two early breaks, finally losing 7-6, 6-1 to Alcaraz.
