(PRIMASPORT) MADRING Kimi Antonelli stood out by finishing the second free practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix in first place, with a time of 1:33.662. The overall championship leader finished 0.113 seconds behind Charles Leclerc and 0.149 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton, both Ferrari drivers.
Mercedes' George Russell finished fourth, having set the fastest time in the first free practice session, while Arvid Linblad finished fifth, just 28 thousandths off the pace.
The session was interrupted, however, due to an accident involving British rookie Arvid Linblad in the Red Bull, who lost control at Turn 13 of the Madrid circuit and crashed into the barriers without any serious injuries. Liam Lawson, another Red Bull driver, also slightly touched the wall but finished tenth fastest.
Max Verstappen finished seventh, followed by McLaren driver Oscar Piastri. Piastri's teammate, reigning champion Lando Norris, did not complete any timed laps due to a technical issue.
Completing the top ten are Yuki Tsunoda for Red Bull, Esteban Ocon for Haas powered by Ferrari and Lawson.
Among the drivers outside the top ten are Alpine stars Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, the two Audis of Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, the Williams of Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon, the Aston Martins of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, and finally the Cadillac-Ferraris of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.
