(PRIMASPORT) SAINT ANTONIO – Kimi Antonelli, the Italian Mercedes Formula One driver, closely followed the NBA game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder in San Antonio, Texas. Antonelli was in the front row, wearing the Spurs jersey with the number 12, the same number he wears in Formula One.
The day before, the pilot visited the Spurs training ground, meeting player Victor Wembanyama and other team members, and taking photos with them. Antonelli described the experience as "like a dream.".
The trip comes on the eve of his first Formula 1 World Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, on a weekend that could secure him the drivers' title, bringing success back to Italy 73 years after Alberto Ascari's triumph. (PRIMASPORT)
