Venezia-Napoli 1-0, the ratings: Stankovic unbeatable, Lucca disastrous. Allegri and De Bruyne fail.

Lorenzo Lucca: un vero disastro anche oggi in Venezia-Napoli

(PRIMASPORT) Venezia's goalkeeper was the undisputed star of the victory for the Venetians. Juan Jesus dominated the defense, and Adams scored the decisive goal. Napoli were spared only a few saves: Rrahmani missed the goal, De Bruyne missed the penalty, and Lucca was once again the worst.

VENICE

STANKOVIC 9 – A performance to remember. He saved De Bruyne's penalty, dominated the defensive tackles, and excelled at stopping Lobotka's shot with a stunning save. He also saved Allison's attempt in the closing stages. If Venezia secured their first three points, much of the credit goes to him.

HALHAL 6.5 – Organized and confident in his tackles, he gives very little to his opponents. When he can, he also accompanies the play, displaying a strong personality.

JUAN JESUS 7.5 – He delivered a top-notch performance against his former team. He was always on time in his closing down, especially decisive when he anticipated Hojlund, denying him a potentially winning shot. A guarantee for Nicola.

MORENO 5 He plays the first half of the match without any particular problems, then ruins everything with a naive challenge on Hojlund that leads to a penalty. Stankovic saves it.
From 71′ SCHINGTIENNE 6 – He comes in with the right attitude, ensuring attention and physicality when the Azzurri are under the greatest pressure.

HAINAUT 6 – Lots of running and willingness to sacrifice. He held his position well and didn't hold back, so much so that he finished the match struggling with cramps.

KIKE PEREZ 6.5 – Valuable in his link-up work and ball recovery. He maintained his intensity throughout the match, even if a few too many protests earned him an avoidable yellow card.

BASIC 6.5 – He provides balance to the midfield, works primarily off the ball, and helps disrupt Napoli's moves. A yellow card for protesting slightly tarnishes an otherwise adequate performance.
From 71′ HELGASON 6 – It enters a delicate phase and carries out its task without giving any space.

SOHM 6.5 – He was instrumental in the play that decided the match. He recognized Lucca's mistake, recovered the ball, and set up Adams. Otherwise, he provided dynamism and substance in midfield.
From 81' L. FANNE SV.

HAPS 5.5 – He alternates good initiatives with some errors in ball handling. He's not always precise, but his contribution in terms of running and sacrifice remains important.
From 71′ MAZZOCCHI 6 – The former Italian player enters with determination and contributes to defending the result.

YEBOAH 5.5 – He struggles to find consistency in his play. He makes some interesting passes, but also makes several poor decisions when he could have been dangerous.
From 62′ A. RRAHMANI 6 – He brings freshness to the attack and keeps Napoli's defenders busy, even without finding the decisive play.

ADAMS 6.5 He didn't have a flawless game and missed at least one important chance, but he scored the goal that earned Venezia their first victory. He decisively exploited Rrahmani's uncertainty and sealed the result.

Coach NICOLA 8 He transformed a team coming off six defeats into a team capable of beating Napoli. Organization, unity, and a great spirit of sacrifice. The first three points also bear his signature.

NAPLES

MERET 5.5 He couldn't do much about Adams's goal, thanks to Rrahmani's deflection. Otherwise, it was a relatively quiet match, with no particularly challenging saves.

BEUKEMA 5 – A performance lacking in personality. He doesn't make any glaring errors in defense, but when he should be supporting the attack, he offers a modest contribution. A good cross to Giovane is one of the few noteworthy efforts.
From 62′ POLITANO 5 – He tries to increase the pace on the right, but his crosses fail to change the course of the match.

RRAHMANI 4 – The mistake that decided the match weighs heavily. He lets Adams get past him too easily and ends up deflecting the shot past Meret. A serious lapse in concentration that erases all the decent work he'd done up until that point.

BADIASHILE 6 – The most reliable of the Italian defense. He plays with reasonable confidence, tries to build the game without complicating things, and limits errors. One of the few adequate performances.

BY LORENZO 5 – He alternates some interesting initiatives with long periods of ineffectiveness. He runs down the flank, but rarely manages to create numerical superiority. A player of his experience is expected to have a greater ability to lead the team.

GILMOUR 4.5 He handles the ball with excessive caution, almost always limiting himself to the simplest solution. He doesn't make any major mistakes, but he also fails to bring rhythm and quality to the play.
From 53′ DE BRUYNE 3 It was supposed to change the game, but it ended up becoming one of the symbols of the defeat. He missed the penalty that could have tied the game and, beyond the incident, never really managed to take control of the game. A performance to forget.

LOBOTKA 5 – Too slow in distributing the ball, he rarely finds passing lanes that can cause problems for the opposition. He loses possession several times and doesn't give the team their usual fluidity. He deserves credit for creating one of the Azzurri's best chances, but Stankovic denies him the goal with a stunning save.

SPINAZZOLA 5 He often looks for space on the left, but his moves almost always end in inconsequential fashion. He lacks precision in his final passes and rarely manages to trouble the Venetian defense.
From 81' OLIVERA SV.

YOUNG 5.5 – At least he tries to invent something. He moves, seeks one-on-ones, and tries to create space, but his resourcefulness yields limited results.
From 53′ ALLISON 6.5 – One of the few players to come on with conviction. He looks for the finish, serves interesting balls, and even makes himself useful in defense, preventing a potential second goal for Venezia. Among Napoli's best.

McTOMINAY 5 – Far from his best form. He runs little compared to his potential and fails to make an impact on his runs. A subpar performance, lacking above all his usual ability to inject intensity into the game.

LUCCA 0 – Another profoundly poor performance. He never managed to create any real danger, lost a staggering number of balls, and woefully failed to connect with McTominay's low cross. As if that weren't enough, his own mistake led to the Venetian goal. In 53 minutes, he only remembered one useful pass to Beukema. Too little for a Napoli center forward.
From 53′ HOJLUND 6 – He showed more aggression than Lucca and won the penalty, but failed to find the back of the net. He struggled against the opposing defense without achieving any concrete results.

Coach ALLEGRI 3 Napoli handed over their first three points of the season to the last-placed team, after a first half lacking pace, ideas, and personality. The second half's response was disorganized and relied largely on individual initiatives. The substitutions failed to produce the desired breakthrough, and the team continues to exhibit the same problems. Five defeats in nine competitive matches are a heavy burden. The crisis is evident, and the coach's responsibilities cannot be ignored. (PRIMASPORT)
