FROSINONE – In the Serie A seventh-round match, Frosinone resumed their momentum, buoyed by a hat-trick from their young striker Antonio Raimondo, who moved into the top scorer's table. Alvini's team defeated Sassuolo 4-2 and temporarily moved within three points of the top spot. It was a night of excellent football at the Benito Stirpe Stadium, where Alvini's team rediscovered their rhythm, play, and consistency, also taking advantage of a decidedly shaky Neroverdi defense. Calò opened the scoring for Lazio, capitalizing on a glaring error by Bakola after just nine minutes. Berardi equalized for the Neroverdi after 15 minutes, then Raimondo began his show, capitalizing on Muric's indecision to score twice. Thorstvedt reopened the game in the 35th minute to make it 3-2. Frosinone's poker arrived in the second half once again with Raimondo, who scored from close range after a ball blocked by Muric following a close-range header from Ghedjemis.
(PRIMASPORT) Frosinone thus temporarily climbs to fourth place, level with Cagliari and ahead of Milan and Juventus. Sassuolo, on the other hand, hasn't won in a month, since a 3-2 defeat of Juve on September 13th. The man of the match was, of course, Antonio Raimondo, whose hat-trick is the first not only of his career but also of a Frosinone player in Serie A. (PRIMASPORT)
