(PRIMASPORT) TORTONA Bertram Derthona Tortona takes to the field on Sunday, October 18th at 7:00 PM at the Nova Arena in Tortona to face Maxima Roma in the fourth matchday of the LBA Serie A SisalClub championship. The match restarts a busy season for the home team, which will play four league and European cup matches in ten days to relaunch its season.
Derthona enters the match with a combined record of one win and two losses in both the league and the EuroCup, having suffered their last defeat in Reggio Emilia, 93-86. Maxima Roma, a team formed from the transfer of Pallacanestro Brescia's sporting title and led by coach Matteo Cotelli, began the season with two losses, including one away to Virtus Bologna, and a narrow victory in the derby against BC Roma.
Among the highlights was Paul Eboua's competitive debut for Derthona, returning from a muscle injury that kept him out for a month and a half. Assistant coach Iacopo Squarcina emphasized the importance of this match, calling it a "game of nerves" given the difficult situation for both teams. Squarcina highlighted the strength of the opponents, particularly players like Miro Bilan, Xavier Moon, and Aaron Holiday, and emphasized Derthona's need to push the pace to impose its game and respond to the opponents' physicality.
The match will be streamed live on LBATV. The day will also feature another basketball event, with Autosped G BCC Derthona making its home debut in the women's championship, creating a Derthona-themed Saturday at the Cittadella dello Sport. Free shuttles will be available to help spectators get there from the city center. (PRIMASPORT)
