Atalanta and Frosinone finish 4-4, Sarri's team turns the tables and wastes

(PRIMASPORT) BERGAMO – Otto gol e continui ribaltamenti.

THE NEWS

Atalanta returns to Serie A after their Europa League trip to Amsterdam, where Sarri made only two changes to his starting lineup, with Rowe on the left flank and Krstovic as the central striker. Frosinone played their expected lineup with Raimondo as the attacking midfielder. Thirty seconds into the game, Frosinone took the lead through Schmid, following a glaring Atalanta error with a back pass from Ederson, who ended up providing an assist for the Austrian. Frosinone continued to attack. Atalanta attempted to respond, and in the 14th minute, Krstovic equalized, finishing off a De Ketelaere pass with a precise, close-range finish. Shortly after, CDK received the ball from the left and charged toward goal with a diagonal shot, but was closed down by Masini. Frosinone didn't give up, and in the 19th minute, they regained the lead through Schmid, set up on the right by Ghedjemis. In the 22nd minute, Bellanova crossed from the right for De Ketelaere, who back-heeled it toward the far corner, but Oyono saved with a sliding tackle just before the line. In the 29th minute, a muscle injury forced Bellanova off the pitch, replaced by Bernasconi. On the half-hour mark, after a VAR check, the referee awarded a penalty to Atalanta for a handball in the box by Cittadini on a De Ketelaere cross. Ederson stepped up to the spot, wrong-footing Palmisani and making amends for his initial error. In the 36th minute, CDK skipped past Masini but found Palmisani, who blocked the goal. Ederson then attempted an overhead kick, but the ball went just wide. In the final minutes of the first half, Atalanta dominated the action. In the 44th minute, Krstovic attempted a header that went just over the crossbar, but a minute later he scored the opening goal by collecting a low cross from Zappacosta and turning it into the corner where Palmisani was unable to get a hold of it.

In the second half, after Terzic came on for Bracaglia for Frosinone, the back-and-forth scoring continued, and in the third minute, Calò leveled the score again, receiving a shot from Ghedjemis and placing it in the bottom corner. Atalanta responded in the fifth minute with a goal from Elmas, following a build-up from the left by De Ketelaere, who then placed the ball for Krstovic, who fed the Macedonian into the net. In the 17th minute, Sarri made a double substitution, replacing Gaetano and Rowe with Pasalic and Zalewski. A minute later, Atalanta threatened again through Krstovic, but Calvani blocked the close-range shot. In the 20th minute, Alvini replaced Kvernadze and Masini with Zerbin and Chichella. Frosinone tried to respond with Ghedjemis, whose shot from the edge of the box was saved by Carnesecchi. In the 25th minute, Zalewski tried to fire in from the edge of the box, but Palmisani was ready. Another round of substitutions, with Cittadini making way for Monterisi, while Sarri brought on Scamacca and Samardzic for Krstovic and De Ketelaere, returning to a 4-3-3 formation. In the 35th minute, Frosinone threatened first diagonally with Ghedjemis and then with Schmid. Two minutes later, Terzic equalized, receiving the ball from Ghedjemis and slotting it into the top corner. In the 44th minute, Alvini recalled Oyono and brought on Tchato, who in the 48th minute brought on Carnesecchi, who also made the final save on Ghedjemis.

In sostanza, ci vuole pazienza.

(PRIMASPORT)
