GAIOLE IN CHIANTI (SIENA) - The dawn light of this Saturday, October 4th, kicks off the 2025 edition of L'Eroica, immersing the Tuscan landscape of Gaiole in Chianti in an atmosphere of cycling from times gone by. The allure of heavy bicycles with steel tubing and thick wool jerseys emblazoned with iconic names in cycling, from Bianchi to Bottecchia, from Legnano to Colnago and Pinarello, is palpable. Nine thousand participants from 51 nations, including 1,200 female cyclists, are confident in the thin strip of asphalt that climbs up to 600 meters into the Chianti valleys.
