(PRIMASPORT) TURIN Ahead of the away match against Genoa, Luciano Spalletti firmly defended his coaching authority at the helm of Juventus and carefully analyzed the upcoming fixture's challenges. The Tuscan coach dismissed rumors that the players had requested tactical changes, stating that "my players would never tell me how to play," emphasizing the team's commitment.
Spalletti described Genoa as a "very tough" opponent, both for the atmosphere and the stadium, and for the quality of their players, such as Osmajic, Ostigaard, and Vitinha, who are capable of causing problems, especially from set pieces and on the flanks. The coach also highlighted the fighting spirit De Rossi instills in the team, calling him "his strong arm on the pitch.".
The 3-5-2 formation was another key theme: Spalletti reiterated the importance of making the most of the squad, without penalizing players with different characteristics, and explained how small tactical changes during the match can be adopted based on need, also mentioning the possibility of using Kolo Muani both as an attacking midfielder and as a winger.
Regarding the Ballon d'Or awarded to Kane, Spalletti declared that he considered this choice logical due to the player's quality and numbers, even though he had other objectives in working with his players.
Regarding the complex schedule and the need for convincing performances, Spalletti emphasized that his team and the club are "on the ball" and aim to maintain focus and confidence, even in the most difficult matches such as the one against Genoa and the subsequent match against Napoli.
Finally, regarding the importance of Kolo Muani, the coach explained how the player makes an impact on the pitch, inspiring fear in opponents and giving his teammates advantages. Juventus is therefore preparing for a highly intense match, with Spalletti determined to maintain control and unity in the team during the difficult end of the year. (PRIMASPORT)
