(PRIMASPORT) Giovanni Malagò, commissioner of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), has expressed his firm support for Diana Bianchedi as the ideal person to represent the cultural bridge between football and other sports. During an interview on the Radio Anch'io Sport program on Radio 1, Malagò stated that he had made a mistake in timing Bianchedi's appointment as head of the Italian national team delegation.
“"I'm absolutely convinced that Diana Bianchedi is the person who best represents the cultural bridge between football and other sports, in terms of her values and her professional history, her sporting and entrepreneurial career. I mistimed it," Malagò stated.
The commissioner explained that the proposal was made in August, when the championship was suspended and the World Cup concluded, but acknowledged that this decision was interpreted by the media as a provocation, creating a difficult situation to manage. "I learned that in life, even in logical decisions, timing is crucial," he concluded. (PRIMASPORT)
