(PRIMASPORT) NAPLES Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis expressed his confidence in coach Massimiliano Allegri ahead of Tuesday evening's second Champions League group stage match against Villarreal.
Speaking during the Golden Collars awards ceremony at the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), De Laurentiis said: “Let's hope things go well tomorrow night. I have faith in our players, and I've never had any doubts about Allegri.”.
The president also emphasized his respect for the coach's work: "I've always remained silent, never passed judgment, because what do you want to judge someone who's won so much?".
De Laurentiis finally praised Allegri's recent tactical change, highlighting the return to a three-man defense: "He's finally gone back to a three-man defense. It's clearly a system that gives him confidence, and we've been successful." (PRIMASPORT)
