(PRIMASPORT) Gian Piero Gasperini commented on Roma's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, emphasizing how his team dominated the match but lost due to a mistake from a corner. "We were stuck at the finish line; we were truly passive on a corner. We lost a game we had led," said the Giallorossi coach.
Responding to José Mourinho's criticism of Roma's inability to sustain the pace throughout the match, Gasperini reiterated: "If anyone was fed up, it seemed to me it was them. We outclassed them in every way. It's a shame we didn't score more, and it's a shame we conceded goals from corners. But those are worth it, too.".
When asked about his lineup and substitutions, Gasperini confirmed he would make the same decisions again. Finally, he provided updates on Koné and Dybala's injuries: "Manu had a thigh strain, Paulo a muscle strain, we'll see." (PRIMASPORT)
