Roberto Mancini remembers Gianluca Vialli at the Vialli Award in Rimini.

(PRIMASPORT) RIMINI Roberto Mancini, coach of the Italian national football team, expressed his deep respect and affection for Gianluca Vialli during the Vialli Award ceremony in Rimini. Mancini remembered Vialli as a teammate and a precious friend, emphasizing their time together at Sampdoria as the happiest time of their lives.

“"It was an honor to be his teammate at Sampdoria, to be his friend. At Sampdoria, we had the best time of our lives. We were different and perfect for each other: if we'd been the same, we wouldn't have gotten along," Mancini said, noting that Sampdoria wasn't just made up of the two of them, but a larger group.

He added: "Luca is missed by everyone, his family misses him. He will be remembered like a legend forever." (PRIMASPORT)
