(PRIMASPORT) Young footballer Pio Esposito expressed his gratitude to coach Roberto Mancini for the trust he's shown in him since the beginning of his Azzurri career. "I can only thank coach Mancini for the trust he's placed in me from the very beginning," Esposito said during a video link at the Vialli Award ceremony, where he was awarded the Goleador Award.
Esposito emphasized the special meaning of wearing the national team jersey: "It's always a special feeling, always different. I've worn the blue jersey since the Under 16s. When you put on the blue jersey, it's the most beautiful feeling: it's every kid's dream when they start playing football.".
Regarding Gianluca Vialli, for whom the award is named, Esposito said: "I've always heard of Vialli as a very humble person and an example for young people, with strong moral values off the pitch. Receiving this award makes me very proud." (PRIMASPORT)
