(PRIMASPORT) PESCARA – During the Italy-Poland Under 21 match at the Adriatico stadium in Pescara, the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, expressed optimism about the current state of Italian football, commenting on the clear victory of the Azzurrini led by Silvio Baldini.
Abodi emphasized the importance of the group and the coach's guidance: "A team that is a group, that you can see, has a master who organizes, guides, motivates, supervises, and loves his job, the blue jersey. Nothing happens by chance." He also highlighted how young talents emerge who are capable of embarking on important careers as early as age 21.
Responding to reporters' questions, the minister stated that Italian football "is doing better than it appears" and reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the football system, while maintaining an external stance on the sport's technical management. "There are good premises, we saw it tonight, we will certainly see it later, we have already seen it in recent days, so I am very confident and have a great deal of respect, affection, and love for the Azzurri shirt," Abodi concluded.
