Marotta on Inter: Champions League challenges and confirmation of Oaktree's support.

(PRIMASPORT) MILAN Inter president Beppe Marotta addressed the difficulties encountered in the Champions League and reaffirmed his confidence in the Oaktree fund that supports the Nerazzurri. Before the league match against Bologna, Marotta commented on the home defeat to Club Brugge, emphasizing that there are no longer any weak sides in the Champions League, citing the precedent of PSG winning the title after a difficult start.

“"Even those teams that until a few years ago were in the third or fourth tier have improved in terms of football culture. So there are no weak teams; they all worry you. But since statistics are important, I want to point out that PSG didn't make the top eight, they lost three games in a row, they advanced from the playoffs and then won the title," Marotta told DAZN.

The president also emphasized the importance of analyzing recent defeats to improve the team. Regarding rumors of a Qatari fund's interest in Inter, Marotta clarified that they are not within his jurisdiction, but praised Oaktree's work and concrete investments in the club. "We are in good hands; Oaktree has also boosted the budget. We are in safe hands. I don't know what decisions they will make, but they will certainly be for the good of Inter and to consolidate the club's past, present, and future," he concluded. (PRIMASPORT)
