(PRIMASPORT) ROME – Giovanni Malagò, commissioner of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), has expressed his expectation of being nominated by Serie A in the upcoming federation elections, scheduled for December 14th. Speaking at the Collari d'Oro ceremony at the Giulio Onesti Conference Center in Rome, Malagò stated that the Serie A assembly, scheduled for October 16th, will decide on the matter and that it would be right for the top division itself to choose the candidate.
The commissioner also commented on the support expressed by Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Napoli, calling him a friend and a loving sponsor and acknowledging his enthusiasm as an ultra fan.
Regarding the internal situation within the FIGC, particularly regarding the resolution involving the position of secretary, Malagò urged patience regarding the timing and methods, stating that he still needs to discuss the matter with the parties involved. (PRIMASPORT)
