The 2027 Formula 1 season will kick off from March 12th to 14th in Bahrain, at the Sakhir Circuit, and conclude from December 10th to 12th in the United Arab Emirates, at Yas Marina. The announcement was officially made by F1 together with the FIA, unveiling a calendar that includes 24 Grands Prix in 22 different countries for a particularly long and varied world championship.
Among the main changes is the return of the Portuguese GP to Portimão and the Turkish GP to Istanbul, replacing Barcelona and Zandvoort. The number of Sprint races, a format consisting of shorter races that award partial points, increases from 6 to 10, including Monaco and Monza for the first time.
Preseason testing will take place in Bahrain from February 24th to 27th, followed by the first race that same weekend, which will also feature a Sprint race. After initial rounds in Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, and China, the series will move to North America, with stops in Miami and Montreal, before opening the European leg with Monaco in early June, followed by Portugal, Great Britain, Austria, and Belgium.
Monza will host its Grand Prix between September 3rd and 5th, preceded by Hungary and followed by Spain, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Singapore. The second half of the season includes several stops across North and South America, with Austin, Mexico, Brazil, and Las Vegas, before concluding with Qatar and Abu Dhabi, both featuring Sprint races.
