At the Giro Next Gen, the penultimate stage in Sparfel, the Pink Jersey Finn extends his lead in the standings.

(PRIMASPORT) Two years after Paul Magnier's success, France once again won a stage of the Giro Next Gen Carta Giovani Nazionale thanks to Aubin Sparfel, who completed an attack at Piana delle Mele that began just a few kilometers before the start of the final climb. The Decathlon CMA CGM rider got the better of his breakaway companion, British rider Elliot Rowe, even holding off the comeback of the Maglia Rosa Lorenzo Mark Finn, who attacked on the most challenging section of the final climb and reached the finish line just 5″ behind the winner.

The world champion thus consolidates his lead in the general classification: Mateo Ramirez and Henrique Bravo lose 16 seconds, and in the final time trial from Villa Sant'Angelo to L'Aquila, Finn will defend a margin of over a minute. (PRIMASPORT)
