(PRIMASPORT) MESTRE Venezia FC and the City of Venice have signed a concession agreement for the management of the new stadium to be built in Mestre, in the Tessera district, within the Bosco dello Sport park. The concession will last 40 years and entails a total investment of €125 million by the club, earmarked for equipment, improvements, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, and a concession fee.
The stadium, which will be able to accommodate up to 18,500 spectators for football matches, is scheduled for inauguration in the second half of the 2027/2028 football season. In addition to sporting events, the facility will also be used for concerts, festivals, and other cultural and entertainment events.
Francesca Bodie, president of Venezia FC, described the project as "a historic day for Venezia FC and our community" and emphasized that the new facility will be "innovative, inclusive, sustainable, and built to the highest international standards," capable of showcasing the team's passion.
Mayor Simone Venturini expressed his satisfaction with the project's completion, thanking his predecessor Luigi Brugnaro and stating that this stadium represents an important milestone for the entire city of Venice, not just for the fans. (PRIMASPORT)
