The Tuscan athlete jumped 6.87m on her final attempt, beaten only by Portugal's De Sousa (gold with 6.92m). Bronze went to Colombia's Linares. The Italians, however, were subdued in the shot put: Leonardo Fabbri (20.75m) finished only seventh, while Nick Ponzio (20.37m) was 11th. Walsh (Nzl) won gold, 21.82m.

Italian-Cuban Andy Diaz confirmed his position as the world's strongest athlete by winning the gold medal in the triple jump, just as he did in 2025 in Nanjing. His first-time jump of 17.47m allowed him to hold off both Jamaica's Jordan Scott (silver with 17.33m) and Algeria's Yasser Triki (bronze with 17.30m). Andrea Dallavalle (16.90m) finished seventh overall.
