POLAND - After Andy Diaz's triple jump, Italy won its second gold medal with Nadia Battocletti, who, in her first World Indoor Championships, dominated the 3,000m with a time of 8:57.64. The Italian athlete beat American Emily Mackay (silver in 8:58.12) and Australian Jessica Hull (bronze in 8:58.18) on the track in Torun, Poland. The women's 60m hurdles are now in full swing, with Zanyab Dosso, among the favorites, and 16-year-old Kelly Doualla competing in the semifinals and then, hopefully, the final. Simonelli is also eagerly awaited in the 60m hurdles.
