NAPLES, JULY 3, 2026 - Luna Rossa's first training session took place in the waters of the Gulf of Naples. The Italian crew took to the sea with their AC40s off Castel dell'Ovo, officially inaugurating the preparations for the America's Cup preliminary regattas and the 38th edition of the competition, scheduled for 2027. The team, which arrived in the city a few days ago and is temporarily housed at the Cantieri Palumbo Shipyard, conducted initial tests on the race course that will host the Preliminary Regattas from September 24th to 27th and, next year, the Louis Vuitton Cup, which will determine the America's Cup challenger.
