Marcell Jacobs took another step forward at the Diamond League meeting in Paris, his third outing of the season, finishing third in the 100 meters with a time of 9.96 (wind speed +0.1), improving his season best by three hundredths of a second. This is an excellent start for the European Championships in Birmingham in August, where he will be chasing his third consecutive title.
