PERTH – Inter Milan won the Derby d'Italia against Juventus, the final friendly of the international Summer Tour, played at Optus Stadium in front of 50,000 spectators. Chivu's team won 2-1 thanks to goals in each half from Dimarco and Diouf, while the Bianconeri scored through Conceicao in the final minutes. It was Ivorian striker Ange-Yoan Bonny who started the move to give Inter the lead, breaking down the left and running away with a spectacular two-step before crossing the ball into the middle, a perfect pass for Dimarco to run into. After scoring against Milan with his right foot, Federico broke the deadlock in the Derby d'Italia, this time with his left. He struck first-time, on the run, and the ball flew into the bottom corner to Di Gregorio's left. At 1-0, the Nerazzurri continued to attack, threatening with two long-range shots: a tricky free kick from Calhanoglu and a right-footed shot from outside the area from Mkhitaryan, but both attempts were saved by the Juventus goalkeeper. At the start of the second half, Spalletti attempted to inject some energy into the game with a six-man substitution, but no real threat emerged from Provedel's area. Chivu also rotated his midfield, and Andy Diouf, who had just come on, scored the second goal after a textbook move he had initiated. Diouf played a long ball to Pio Esposito, who shielded the ball well and played it to Pavard on the right. The Frenchman passed the ball back to Pio, who saw Diouf run into the box, control it, and then beat Di Gregorio with a right-footed shot, who was unable to hold on. Inter came very close to a third goal with a move led by the two newcomers Iddrissou and Lavelli. In the 85th minute, Spalletti's team halved the deficit thanks to Conceicao: the Portuguese was launched vertically by Miretti and made no mistake in front of Martinez. The goal rekindled Juventus, who created two chances to equalize: the first came from Alajbegovic's right-footed shot, which was blocked by Martinez, while the second was decisive by Bovio with a great save from Kolo Muani.
