TURIN – Juventus has made official the arrival of Pape Matar Sarr. The Senegalese midfielder, born in 2002, arrives at Juventus after his experience in the Premier League with Tottenham, the club with which he continued his growth path in European football. The transfer to Turin took place under the formula of loan for 2.5 million euros with obligation to buy under certain conditions for 27.5 million euros. Born in Thiaroye, Senegal, on September 14, 2002, Sarr began his career in his homeland before moving to Metz, France. It was with the French club that he made his mark at a very young age, attracting the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, who signed him in the summer of 2021 and sent him on loan to Ligue 1 for another season. A dynamic midfielder with a strong physique and the ability to combine quality and intensity in both phases of the game, Sarr gained experience in the Premier League (over 100 league appearances) and European competitions during his time in England, winning the 2024/25 Europa League with Spurs. At the same time, he became a key figure in the Senegal national team, leading them to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nick Woltemade, acquired on loan from Newcastle, has also joined Spalletti's squad, making 53 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists.
