Spain wins the World Cup after dominating Argentina and beating them in extra time.

Spain is world champion. Deservedly. For the second time. Like in 2010. Then, after two years, the continental title arrived. At this World Cup, however, La Roja showed up as European champions, clearly proving to be the technically stronger team and the one who plays better. At the New York New Jersey Stadium, De La Fuente's team made history. Argentina, struggling to reach the final act, succumbed along with their captain Lionel Messi. At the end of the 90 minutes of regulation play, which ended goalless, the question arose as to how a national team like Spain could have done it, even if it had been a goalless team.  Maintaining complete control of the World Cup final, yet failing to score against an Argentina side that had never been so passive, ultimately leading to extra time, even with a man advantage? The answer came in the 106th minute, when Ferran Torres tapped in a header from Nico Williams. This was the epilogue to a game that was anything but spectacular, with Scaloni's team clearly struggling, exacerbated by their lineup choices and likely their substitution management. It mattered little that the two Argentine central defenders were forced out, as the center of gravity remained low. La Roja, with a smothering possession, forced the Albiceleste to cover, besieging their midfield. Leo Messi, who had never been in the game and had been isolated for a long time, Spain moved the ball around with mastery, effectively blocking any attacking moves. Argentina goalkeeper Martinez prevented the virtual passing of the baton from Messi to Yamal, saving the 19-year-old Spanish talent's free kick that was headed straight for the back of the net. Indeed, it took Martinez at his best to prevent Argentina from trailing in the 90 minutes. One of the biggest chances of the match was Ferran Torres' header from a Yamal cross, which was beautifully saved by Martinez. In Argentina, Scaloni's decision not to use Lautaro Martinez will be a topic of discussion. But also how Enzo Fernandez, already booked, was sent off for a foul in midfield a few minutes before the final whistle. Pride, mixed with desperation, only came to the fore in the 120th minute when Cubarsi prevented a close-range pass that would have put everything in jeopardy.. Messi abdicates and Yamal, although not in top physical condition but still capable of precious touches, takes pride in the world title, alongside teammates like Rodri, the beacon of the Spanish game, the best player of the World Cup and a sure candidate for the Ballon d'Or.
