(PRIMASPORT) Bologna FC has officially sacked Domenico Tedesco after a poor start to the season, with just one point from four Serie A games. The club has appointed Raffaele Palladino as coach, with the player signing a contract until June 30, 2029.
The club expressed its heartfelt thanks to Tedesco for his professional and competent work, wishing him the best of luck in his career. Palladino, who was Atalanta's coach until last June, began coaching the team today at Bologna's training center.
After managing the Belgium national team until January 2025, Tedesco returned to club coaching after three years, replacing José Mourinho at Fenerbahçe. He was then dismissed in April 2026. He arrived at Bologna on June 2nd, replacing Vincenzo Italiano, signing a two-year contract with the option for a further season. He leaves the club with just one point in the standings after four matchdays, but above all, with a slump in his playing style and a series of issues that the coach himself has been unable to resolve. Raffaele Palladino, meanwhile, has taken over again. Last season, he replaced Juric in Bergamo, leading Atalanta to the Conference League, before Maurizio Sarri was chosen as his replacement to embark on a new coaching career. Upon taking over as Bologna manager, Palladino formalized a mutual termination agreement with Atalanta. (PRIMASPORT)
