Gimbo then returned to attempt 2.41m, putting on a spectacular show in the stadium where he won the world title three years ago, just a month after his fourth European gold medal. In the first edition of the final event of the world athletics season, Tamberi's victory follows Larissa Iapichino's in the long jump.
