Ambrogino d'Oro to Federica Brignone

MILAN – Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala awarded the Ambrogino d'oro to Federica Brignone for her outstanding sporting achievements. The ceremony took place at Palazzo Marino, the seat of Milan's City Council. The Ambrogino is the highest recognition the Lombardy metropolis bestows on its citizens, and Federica Brignone was born in Milan.

“"A great honor," said the Alpine skiing champion, who has been sweeping the board with awards and recognition since the Milan-Cortina Olympics, a testament to the affection and recognition the Italian champion has earned in the hearts of her many fans. Present at the ceremony were Flavio Roda, President of the Italian Winter Sports Federation; Franco Zecchini, President of the FISIO Alpi Centrali; Marco Riva, President of CONI Lombardia; and Claudia Giordani, Olympic silver medalist at Innsbruck '76.
