FRANCE – Zinedine Zidane has had to make a change to the new France squad due to Ibrahima Konaté's injury. The Real Madrid center-back has been sidelined with a slight knee sprain, as officially announced by the French Federation.
Konaté, formerly of Liverpool, was immediately sent back to Spain for treatment, while Zidane called up the young Leny Yoro, a 2006-born defender from Manchester United, who had already been called up previously by Didier Deschamps but had not made his debut for the senior national team.
Yoro could get the opportunity to play in one of France's four Nations League matches, which include matches against Turkey, Belgium (two legs) and Italy.
