The ordinary elective assembly of the Women's Volleyball League has elected Vito Cozzoli as its new president with 18.75 votes in favor, beating out the other candidate, Massimo Beduschi, who received 11.25 votes. Cozzoli, CEO of Autostrade per lo Stato and former president of Sport e Salute, succeeds Mauro Fabris, who led the League for 20 years and chaired the assembly for the last time. During the assembly, last season's budget, presented by outgoing board member Giuseppe Pirola, was also unanimously approved. He outlined the financial results and adherence to the budget.
The Assembly also voted on the Serie A1 and Serie A2 directors who will comprise the Board of Directors. In the second round, after reaching an agreement among the candidates, which also established Giuseppe's responsibility for the budget. Pirola and the role of president of the Consulta to Pietro Paolella, Serie A1 has elected Ivano Angels representing Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia, Sandra Little Lions representing Savino Del Bene Scandicci and Andrea Venetians representing ChorusLife Volley Bergamo. In the first round of voting, Serie A2 elected Stefano Condina representing Dragons Offanengo and Roberto Mignemi, representing Ferraro SMI Roma Volley. Finally, the new Board of Directors unanimously proposed the role of Enzo Bruno Barbarian as CEO of the Women's Volleyball League and seventh Councilor, a role also approved unanimously by the Assembly.
