MARTINSICURO – Concluded at the “Alberto Tommolini” Municipal Stadium in Martinsicuro, in the province of Teramo, the Italian Para-Archery Target Championship which awarded the Italian absolute titles in the Visually Impaired, W1, Compound and Recurve categories. The event, organized by the Archers the Dolphin with the support of the FITARCO Abruzzo Regional Committee, the Sportivamente Insieme association and the Municipality of Martinsicuro, saw the challenges between the best Italian archers in the last competitive test of the outdoor season on the last day of competitions, in view of the 2027 international competitions that will award the first passes for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics. The Italian title was won by Davide Bettoni and Elizabeth Mijno in the recurve, ChristianSeneca and Maria Andrea Virgil in the compound, Maurizio Panella and Daila Dameno in W1, Emma Paoloni and Michael Biisecchi among the Visually Impaired.
CURVED – In the men's recurve the challenge took place between the winners of the European team title obtained at the beginning of the season in Rome 2026: Stefano Travisani (Defense Paralympic Sports Group) and Davide Bettoni (Fiamme Gialle). A thrilling and balanced match that ultimately rewarded Bettoni with his second career title after the 2024 one, beating world champion Travisani 6-4. The bronze medal went to young Gabriel De Toffoli (Arcieri del Piave), who got the better of defending champion Giuseppe Verzini (Arcieri Cormons) 6-5 (8+-8) in a play-off.
In the women's category, the absolute dominance of Elisabetta Mijno (Alpine Archers) who won a resounding 6-0 victory over her national teammate Vincenza Petrilli (Fiamme Oro), securing her 12th overall Italian title and ninth consecutive. Silvia Sapo (Arco Club Pontino) took third place with a 6-4 victory over Elisabetta Petris (Arcieri Cormons). The Petris duo–Verzini of the Cormons Archers they won the tricolor in the mixed team.
COMPOUND – In the men's compound he signs his first overall career Italian title Christian Seneca (Kappa Kosmos Rovereto) thanks to a 133-131 final victory over Lorenzo Schieda (PHB). Defending champion Giampaolo Cancelli (Fiamme Oro) won the bronze medal with a 133-132 victory over Gabriele Saccoman (Arcieri Padovani). In the women's event, she won her seventh overall Italian title. Maria Andrea Virgilio (Blue Flames) overcoming her national teammate Irene Picci (Arcieri Padovani) with a great final sprint that earned a 138-133 final score. In third place was Letizia Visintini (Arcieri Cormons) who beat Gloria Lorenzetti (Arcieri Decumanus Maximus) 138-126.
In the men's compound team event, the Italian title was won by the duo Kosmos Rovereto (Seneca, Powroznik) who beat PHB (Cancelli, Schieda) 145-141 in the final, adding the Trentino team's name to the event's roll of honor for the first time. Bronze went to the Frecce Azzurre (Addio, Contemi) who defeated Arcieri Padovani (Migailo, Saccoman) 139-137 in the final.
W1 – Another match between the Azzurri in the men's W1 final, both representing the Defense Paralympic Sports Group. The title dispute is between the European champion Paolo Tonon and the European vice-champion Maurizio Panella. Again, the match was a close one, but in the end, Panella won his second Italian title after the one he won in 2024, this time beating outgoing champion Tonon 139-137. Third place went to Francesco Maria Sorato (Fiamme Azzurre), who beat Gabriele Ferrandi (Arcieri Aurora) 119-108.
In the women's team, a great comeback after the injury Daila Dameno (Archers Ugo of Tuscany)The Italian athlete took her first overall Italian title with a 114-89 victory in the final over Simona Canipari (Prodesenzano), an athlete who, like her, came to archery after a top-level international career in handcycling. The Martinsicuro title was her first outdoor Italian title, following her debut at last winter's Italian Indoor Championships, where she surprisingly won the Italian title. Another athlete who is making progress in this discipline, Angela Procida (Frecce Azzurre), took bronze, determined to build on her successes in Paralympic swimming.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED – Among the Visually Impaired 1 (blind) first Italian title ever for Emma Paoloni. The archer from Middle Chienti She won a beautiful and exciting final against Maria Salaris of Arcieri Poggibonsi in a shootout 6-5 (7-0). The bronze medal went to defending champion Matteo Panariello (Arcieri Livornesi) with a 6-0 victory over Tiziana Marini (Arcieri Sagittario del Veneto).
Among the VI 2/3 (visually impaired) gold for Michael Biisecchi of the Archers Ugo of Tuscany who defeated defending champion Daniele Piran of Arco Club Bolzano Vicentino 6-2 in the final, earning his first Italian title. The bronze medal went to Ivan Nesossi (Arcieri Novara) with a 6-4 victory over Claudio Peruffo (Arcieri Niche).
