ROME – Lorenzo Mesetti, despite a quadriceps strain, didn't disappoint, defeating Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets to advance to the round of 16 of the Italian Open. The Italian eliminated the Argentine 7-6, 6-4 and will now face Casper Ruud, who defeated Lehecka.
The Italian from Carrara, in his debut at the Italian International against the Frenchman Perricard, had served with the 72% of first serves in the court.
