PARIS - Italian swimming celebrated a pivotal day at the European Championships in Paris, winning one gold and three bronze medals in both open water and artistic swimming. Ginevra Taddeucci, winner of the women's 5k, led the Italian team, while Gregorio Paltrinieri and Barbara Pozzobon took bronze in the same distance. The Italian artistic swimming team also made the podium in the acrobatic event. The races were held in the Seine, on the Île aux Cygnes circuit, just steps from the Eiffel Tower.
