MONTRÉAL (CAN) – Day two of racing at the UCI Road World Championships in Canada saw Italy secure its second medal. Nicolas Milesi took the victory in the Under 23 individual time trial, completing the 31.3-kilometer course in 37:33.17, just 7.01 seconds behind the new world champion, Dutchman Ryan Gal, who won in 37:26.16. Spaniard Hector Alvarez finished third, 11.88 seconds behind. Milesi continued to improve, consistently among the top performers.
