UDINE - Nicol Delago's first World Cup victory, triumphing in the downhill race in Tarvisio (a venue returning to the calendar after 15 years), earned her first World Cup win. The 30-year-old from Bressanone (five World Cup podium finishes prior to this race) wore bib number 3 and built her victory in the central section of the course, after "dominating" the foggy section. She edged out Germany's Weidle-Winkelmann by two tenths, a few hundredths ahead of Lindsey Vonn in third.
