Heusden-Zolder - Italian cycling confirmed its position as a world track superpower and swept the Junior World Championships in Heusden-Zolder, winning 16 medals (8 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze). It was hard to imagine they could top last year's World Championships in the Netherlands, when the team collected six world titles and 13 medals. A year later, with most of the 2025 contenders now in the Under-23 category, the Italian team has done even better, returning from the Belgian track with an incredible haul: 16 medals, including a whopping 8 world titles.

HEUSEN.ZOLDER. Italy reclaims the spotlight at the Junior Track World Championships in Heusden-Zolder. Matteo Maggioni wins the points race, Agata Campana eliminates him, and Matteo Ghirelli wins the kilometer. Completing the four-man effort is the fifth consecutive victory for the men's pursuit quartet. After just two days, the Italians thus equal the four world championships they earned in last year's entire edition. The triumphant day concludes with the bronze medal in the women's pursuit. POINTS RACE - Maggioni takes the title with 45 points. The Italian gains two laps on the pack and collects another five in the intermediate sprints: three in the third and two in the seventh.

HEUSDEN-ZOLDER - Italy opened the Junior Track World Championships at the Heusden-Zolder velodrome with three medals. Cottbus – The Junior and Under 23 European Track Championships concluded with the Italian team winning 27 medals, including 14 gold, 7 silver, and 6 bronze, and first place in the overall medal table. This extraordinary result ties the 2023 gold record but adds five more medals overall. Compared to the 2025 European Championships, the leap is even more significant: five more medals overall and five more golds. Approximately 701 TP3T athletes from the Italian squad made the podium (30 of the 42 athletes selected), and Italians were among the top performers in all disciplines.

Fourteen Italian medals were won in the first two days of the European Junior and Under-23 Track Championships in Cottbus. The opening day's eight medals, with five titles (one silver and two bronze) in endurance, individual events, and sprint, were joined by six more (three gold, one silver, and two bronze). The first title for the Italian team was won by Agata Campana, gold in the junior women's Scratch event, while Federica Venturelli from Crema once again confirmed her special relationship with the individual pursuit by winning her third consecutive European Under-23 title in the event, following those she earned in 2024.
