HUNTSVILLE - The Paracycling World Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, concluded with a gold medal for the Italian team led by coach Pierpaolo Addesi. Andrea Biancalani is the new world champion in the C4 category. The Italian won the six-lap race in 2:00:05, edging out France's Kevin Le Cunff and Britain's Archie Atkinson in the sprint. Giacomo Salvalaggio also came within a hair's breadth of the podium in fourth, while Andrea Lauria finished twelfth, 41 seconds behind. The second medal came from the women's tandem, where Marianna Agostini (led by Noemi Lucrezia Eremita) took bronze. Britain's Sophie Unwin won in 2:03:30.
