CHINA - Kimi Antonelli, the young (20) Italian Mercedes driver, won the Chinese GP. The Italian national anthem had been missing from the top step of the podium for quite some time; we have to go back twenty years to Fisichella in Malaysia in 2006. Second place went to another Mercedes with Russell, followed by the Ferraris of Hamilton and Leclerc. The McLarens retired before the start, leaving Norris very disappointed with his team as well.
