NANCY – A historic feat for 23-year-old Francesco Pernici from Brescia, who broke the Italian 800-meter record of 1:43.7, set by Marcello Fiasconaro on June 27, 1973, at the Arena in Milan. Pernice, representing the Fiamme Gialle (Fiamme Gialle), won the race held in Nancy, France, at the Silver meeting of the Continental Tour, with a time of 1:43.60, leading the entire race.
