BUDVA – Italy achieved a significant result at the European Under-17 Boxing Championships, held in Budva, Montenegro, winning seven medals: one gold and six bronze. The gold medal was won by Raul Barone in the 66 kg category, while the other six bronze medals are a testament to the talent of the Italian athletes and the effective work of the federal coaches. At the same time, Italian boxing also celebrated successes in the professional sector: Francesco De Rosa won the EBU European super bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over Romanian Ionut Baluta, while Salvatore Cavallaro won the WBC Mediterranean champion belt.
