NAPLES, AUGUST 28, 2026 – A technical meeting will be convened at the Police Headquarters to discuss the management and use of the spaces at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. The discussion will also include the areas designated for displaying fan banners.
The request submitted by SSC Napoli was examined during the meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety. The meeting was chaired by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, and representatives of the club attended.
The goal is to explore the organizational and security aspects related to the facility's reorganization. The Police Headquarters will now set and communicate the date of the meeting.
Maradona Stadium: A Discussion Between Clubs and Institutions
The technical committee will have to find a solution agreed upon between the club, the relevant authorities, and the needs related to fan attendance. Among the issues to be addressed is the management of spaces used to display banners and other materials within the facility.
The meeting did not result in any immediately applicable measures. Any changes will need to be evaluated based on public order and the procedures required for stadium access.
The meeting is part of Napoli's broader commitment to managing the Maradona stadium. The timeframe for reaching a final decision has not yet been announced.
Naples-Como, provisions unchanged
The situation for the Napoli-Como match remains unchanged. The time available does not allow for the introduction of new organizational arrangements before the match.
The match, valid for the second matchday of Serie A, will be played on Sunday 30 August at 6.30 pm at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Any decisions made after the technical meeting will therefore only apply to subsequent appointments. The Police Headquarters and other competent bodies will communicate the methods and timeframes for implementation.
