MILAN, JUNE 9, 2026 – Medical checks continue for Jannik Sinner following the illness that affected his performance at Roland Garros. The world number one tennis player returned to Milan's San Raffaele Hospital to complete a series of specialist tests begun in recent days.
The aim is to delve deeper into the causes of the recent physical problems suffered by the South Tyrolean champion, who was forced to prematurely end his Parisian adventure.
The tests do not reveal any anomalies
According to the tests carried out so far, no cardiac or metabolic problems have been found.
Sinner underwent a series of thorough tests, which, again on Tuesday, reportedly provided reassuring results. The tennis player left the hospital through a secondary entrance, maintaining the utmost confidentiality regarding his condition.
In the previous days, the Italian champion had spent several hours at the San Raffaele to complete the check-up program prepared by the medical staff.
Wimbledon Goal
Once the medical tests are completed, Sinner is expected to return to Monte Carlo, where he will gradually resume his athletic and technical preparation.
The plan includes skipping the preparatory tournaments at Queen's and Halle, with the aim of focusing exclusively on regaining top form for Wimbledon.
The London Slam will kick off on June 29 and represents the main seasonal achievement for the Italian champion, winner of the last edition after his success in the final against Carlos Alcaraz.
The departure for London is expected to take place around ten days before the start of the tournament, allowing the ATP number one to complete his preparation on the British grass.
