The Azzurri defend the Champions League zone
Naples. For this 35th matchday of Serie A, Conte's men began with two clear understandings: returning home with three points would provide the extra boost they need to tackle the upcoming matches, and that the match against Como would be a tough one.
The match between Napoli and Fabregas's team ended goalless, 0-0. The team started off on the right foot, making it clear they wouldn't give up an inch.
In the first half, Como attacked and repeatedly put Napoli under pressure. Only in the second 45 minutes did Politano hit the post, giving Napoli fans something to look forward to. Otherwise, there was little excitement on either side, and the match ended in a draw that left no one disappointed.
Napoli is in second place with 70 points, nine points behind Inter and awaiting AC Milan, who play tomorrow and could catch them, while Como is enjoying fifth place while awaiting Roma, who play on Monday evening against Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, this weekend could be decisive for Inter, who no longer need to win against Parma to secure the Scudetto. A draw against Carlos Esta's team would be enough. Indeed, if Milan were to lose or draw against Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri would be champions of Italy before even taking the field.
