NAPLES, AUGUST 28, 2026 – Napoli continues to work on Marc Guiu, the Spanish striker currently owned by Chelsea. The club is looking to provide Massimiliano Allegri with a new offensive addition.
As reported by the Morning, The Neapolitan management is conducting two parallel negotiations. The first concerns the financial agreement with Chelsea, while the second involves the player and his entourage.
Guiu is reportedly increasingly open to considering a move to Serie A. The centre-forward, born in 2006, is looking for greater consistency after limited use with the London team.
Napoli and Marc Guiu, Chelsea still need to be convinced.
Napoli considers Guiu an investment, even with a view to the future. The Spaniard's young age would also be an advantage in managing the league rosters.
The deal isn't yet complete. The deal's formula remains to be finalized and, most importantly, Chelsea's approval is needed. The English club still has Guiu in its first-team squad, wearing the number 38.
Among the alternatives being considered by the Italian club, Nick Woltemade's name also emerged. The German striker is linked to Newcastle, who acquired him from Stuttgart in the summer of 2025 in a record deal for the English club.
Napoli have reportedly inquired about the possibility of a loan move. However, the deal appears complex due to the costs and Newcastle's position. The player's salary, estimated at around €5 million according to market rumors, also poses a stumbling block.
There are currently no official agreements for Guiu or Woltemade. Napoli is keeping several options open while they finalize their attacking addition.
